A West Indian Day Parade shooting victim talks about growing up among guns and violence:
"There are certain places I can't go," Chris said. "I literally can't go and I won't go. Like I've lived in this neighborhood. And I've learned everything same as me and all my friends. We know where to go, we know where not to go. Because—it's just because a shootout might occur and a bullet has no name. So—and mistaken identity."
Bio: Spencer Morgan is a writer living in Brooklyn.
