The Governor has the majority of appointments to the LIPA Board. Currently the Chair of LIPA is serving under an expired term. There are also at least five vacant appointments. Senator Dean Skelos and Speaker Sheldon Silver also have appointments that they haven't made. Instead of shifting blame, the Governor should accept the fact the LIPA failed in its job. A report last year after Hurricane Irene proved that LIPA wasn't ready for another large storm. It's up to the Governor to accept responsibility for LIPA;'s failure!
