Its really foolish for any NY Daily News freelancer to stay with this type of contract. They are being exploited for a measly $175 day rate but are too scared to leave and management knows this. I would not be surprised if the NY Daily News drops their day rate back to $150 and still they will stay fearful of cutting the cord.
