While there's very few people as knowledgeable as Tom Moran (glad he's back at the Ledger) about NJ politics, we disagree with his assessment of Chrstie as "the party's most effective salesman." Think - Rudy Giuliani in 2008. During the 2008 Republican National Convention, Giuliani gave a prime-time speech that praised McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin. Following the convention, he went down in flames. There are too many parallels between the two, to mention here.Primarilt - their respective careers in law enforcement. In the long run, former prosecutors don't "sell well" with the public. Possibly in the northeast but we don't see Christie's "Jersey Shore" appeal translating into a romance with the heartland.

Idiots like Grimm should be made to live in a NYCHA project for a few days or live in a less-than-desirous neighborhood and be confronted with guns every day. A chicken-shit like him would change his tune quickly. Staten Island is such a dangerous place. No wonder he wants to preserve the 2nd amendment.
