Your commentary about Obama Sr. and the train of thoughts strewn in it are very thought - provoking and down right accurate. We are talking about America of the mid sixties - a Black man from Kenya, dating a White woman, not to mention another White woman whom he had discarded in Hawaii. This is a recipe for racial discrimination of the most acrid kind. At the time, I do not think Obama Sr. was aware of consulting an immigration lawyer, and given the mindset of the IRS and Harvard at the time, it is quite unlikely that these entities told Obama of those rights. Despite doing very well in his studies in economics at Harvard, at a time when the field was laden with heavy doses of advanced mathematical concepts - which was sufficiently potent and intimidating to make lots of potential degree recipients in economics to leave the field without completing their studies - Obama Sr. still managed to pass all his exams. What happened to Barak Obama Sr, was racism at it's very worst. And after going back to Kenya, life was never the same for him, he became very nostalgic about a Harvard Ph.D, which was brutally denied him. From that day on to the day he died, drinking was what he knew best to do. What a loss People who understand the tangled web of President Obama family background agree that the Obama presidency is God's reward for the grave injustice meted to his father by Hatvard University and the INS.
