Charlie Rose, arguably the best interviewer ever, interviewed Joan Didion a few nights before the NYPL program. I thought Sloan Crosley did a better job . Joan gives one word answers and doesn't like to drone on about herself. Sloan kept it light, youthful and obviously loved Joan Didion. As a result, I learned more than on Charlie Rose. .. AND Ms. Didion autographed my well worn book.
