johnnieutah commented on The day a Bar Rafaeli spread outclassed a story on charter schools

I really like the "unlike" graphic on the top banner of the Post, but otherwise I'm forced to agree that the News is MUCH sexier today.

Breasts always win. Which to choose? 'RACK AND RUIN' is just genius, tho, making your choice easier today. The News is not skilled at the silhouette - having the lady's knee in the TLC fare hike story is just bizarre - and what is that story even doing on the front?

johnnieutah commented on The 'drastic miscalculation' that stalled the greening of Greenpoint-Williamsburg

This is PRECISELY why many of us were against the rezoning. The neighborhood is now suffering from congestion and overcrowding like never before, particularly Northside Williamsburg. Accomodations were freely given to outside real estate interests while longtime residents objections were minimized or ignored. It's long been clear to Williamsburg residents which side Bloomberg is on.

Boobs/cleavage wins every time - sex alone isn't enough to turn heads. This sex story on the News front is old and boring. I like the dirty cop story much more, it's too bad the Post buries the lead under cheap photoshop tricks and a friendly movie studio sale.

johnnieutah commented on The moment Pedro Espada stopped smiling

And once again, I think the Post's commitment to a photo they obviously know is a winner makes a bigger impact than a divided front page with too much going on.

The photo of Espada REALLY sells the Post in this case. I think the Post is saving a Travolta cover for when something really juicy breaks out of that story, the story thus far has been very he-said-he-said, and the story on the front of the News today also feels a bit stale. And I'm probably in the minority here, but a Kardashian on the cover makes me far LESS likely to drop my hardearned 75 cents on a paper.
