Game Six commented on Kirk Nieuwenhuis comes up big for the Mets, who should return the favor

How serendipitous that Torres goes down with the injury on opening day. In just three weeks it's easy to see that Kirk is a player that is going to be part of the solution here. Clearly there's no longer a need for Torres, signed purely as a one-year CF stopgap. Mets would be smart to play him in LF until Bay returns, and let Nieuwenhuis continue to develop in center.
