Don't know what his stand is now -- or if he's really running for mayor -- but as head of the council transportation committee, Liu supported congestion pricing, saying the revenues were the best way to finance improved bus service in Queens.

Gail Robinson commented on Bloomberg's pro-moderate PAC runs at the Tea Party, gets mixed results

Bloomberg -- personally it seems, not Independence PAC -- gave a whopping $200,000 in support of three education initiatives in Idaho -- weakening teachers and their unions, instituting merit pay based on test scores and promoting on-line learning. This was the second largest donation to the PAC pushing these measures and the largest from outside Idaho. All three propositions went down to resounding defeat, with two-thirds of the state's voters rejecting the one on on-line learning.
