The public transportation system in the country is already terrible and needs major improvement. It would be ridiculous to cut down the funds for the the one city in the United States that is an example of how effective public transportation is. This city should be used as a model for the country! Rather than a prime target to disable public transportation. Ridiculous. But, like you mentioned often, the relief is I don't expect it will happen.
