So, what do we have here? I see a young lady with a dream of changing the way business is done in Albany. Yes, she is green, perhaps wet behind the ears, OK. It’s what she doesn’t have that appeals to me, baggage and political cronies. Could she do any worse than the “clowns” we currently have in the Senate? How many times have we seen our current elected officials “act out”, and accomplish nothing meaningful. Clearly, it would take time for her to get acclimated in Albany, but from what I can see I don’t believe she would be (or become) a political puppet, I think she would perform with common sense (that would be something new for Albany) and a conscience (bet most of our elected officials would need a dictionary for that one). Additionally, I believe she would do what is best for the people of her community and the state and not the special interests so common in politics. Many of the politicians we have remind me of a pool of standing water, they are stagnant and breed mosquitoes (or in the case of Albany, political favors). Time for some fresh blood!
