M.T.A. chairman Joe Lhota said today he is considering reducing MetroCard bonuses.
"I think we need to have a very big public discussion about the fare price and the discounting that goes on," he said, following a Crain's New York Business breakfast panel about the M.T.A. at the Plaza Hotel.(1)
Now, the M.T.A. will sell advertising on the front of MetroCards, rather than just on the back, the agency announced today.
