Hoylman trounces non-establishment rivals in fund-raising for Tom Duane's seat
Brad Hoylman, the Democratic district leader backed Tom Duane to replace him in the State Senate, raised $191,490.62 so far, way more than his two Democratic rivals.
Hoylman contributors include Duane, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, Mel Wymore, a City Council candidate, Karen Keogh, a former Hillary Clinton aide, Democratic operative Emily Giske, 1199 SEIU operative Kevin Finnegan, and Dirk McCall, who once was president of the Stonewall Democratic Club of New York City.
After spending $14,717.17 -- mostly on consultants at BerlineRosen and a contribution to the Working Families Party -- Hoylman has $171,587.83 left in the bank, heading into the September primary. More
