One week after Mayor Michael Bloomberg blamed Congress for causing the mortgage crisis that crippled the economy, he traveled to Washington to voice concerns for a constituency he said was misunderstood by those lawmakers.
“Some of the business leaders expressed the concern that they are not being heard in Washington,” Bloomberg said. “They are being heard, but they are not being understood," the mayor said at a speech hosted by the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank founded by Bill Clinton’s former chief of staff, John Podesta.
