Dec. 6, 2013Time Warner Cable promotes M&A chief:
Time Warner Cable has named Christian Lee senior V.P. of mergers & acquisitions, the company announced today.
The addition of Lee, who will assume the post December 31, comes as the company tried to sell itself to potential suitors. Comcast and Charter Communications are among those kicking the tires, although Comcast may face stiff regulatory hurdles should it attempt a play.
Lee, currently V.P. of investments for TWC, is replacing Satish Adige, who is retiring at the end of the year.
Incoming TWC C.E.O. Rob Marcus addressed the M&A issue during an interview with Bloomberg today:
“I am the perfect guy to manage the M&A component out there,” Marcus told Bloomberg. “As much as I’d like to be modest, I am kind of built to manage situations like this.”
