The impending retirement of Barney Frank from Congress presents Democratic House leadership a choice over who should replace him as the leading Democrat on the Financial Services Committee.

Maxine Waters of California has the most seniority, but is under investigation for allegedly violation House ethics rules. Next in line is Carolyn Maloney, whose district is in Manhattan and Queens. One Waters supporter within the Congressional Black Caucus said there'd be "Armageddon" if she doesn't get the spot, according to The Hill. More
