Here's some reaction to Barack Obama's speech in Jerusalem, which seemed to be well received by the crowd of Israeli students in attendance.
Receptions elsewhere were predictably divergent, as are opinions about just about everything when it comes to Israel and Palestine. But the consistent thread running through nearly all the reaction seems to be that Obama managed to strike a balance between reassuring Israelis about how pro-Israel he is and implicitly criticizing the Netanyahu government for being less accomodating and imaginative than the Israeli people themselves when it comes to pursuing peace.
Congratulations to #ObamainIsrael on powerful speech in Jerusalem, w/ vigorous defense of Israel & passionate call for two states #Israel
