The Catsimatidis holiday card

Here's the holiday card Republican mayoral candidate John Catsimatidis sent out to friends and colleagues this year, brought to my attention by a reader who received it, and kindly provided to me by Catsimatidis.

The message in the card:

Bloomberg is wealthier and a bigger douche than any of the Republican candidates combine. But hey, Capital New York loves him because he's made NYC safer for the hipster writers at CNY.

JOR,

I dislike hipsters as much as (or more than) the next guy, but Capital is far from that. These guys focus on real problems this city and state face (ones that both transcend bearded movements and are caused by them) and have a deep understanding of the politics here. I appreciate their reporting and deeply respect Azi and company.

But really...this post did seem odd.

I have never met Azi, but I have a great deal of respect for his journalistic skills. For people to get bent out of shape over this is beyond silly and shows that some have not idea how to lighten up.

Now then, this card got a ton of jaw-drops and you're kidding me reactions at my office, especially when I included this link, which shows the "before," as it were...

Isn't Catsimatidis the oceanfront Hamptons next door neighbor of the notorious homeless shelter king Podolsky? If Catsimatidis is elected will the DHS taxpayer ripoffs continue?

Do those guys not realize what a political liability she is??? Apparently her brother got all the brains and class and she got a severe case of princessitis - the belief that the more gawks she gets from men, the stupider and more helpless she can be. And hopefully man with the little boy haircut knows that those two things are just a preview of what's going to happen to those Greek hips in about 10 years.
