Here, on this day of horrifying local news, is the trailer for a documentary about the five teenagers who were convicted, then exonerated, in the "Central Park jogger" rape case, which came to crystalize the fear of crime and racial tensions of life in New York City in the late 1980s.
The filmmakers disclosed that after numerous city officials declined to participate in the documentary, they were hit with subpoenas for their notes and unused tape as evidence to defend the city in a multi-million dollar lawsuit from the men collectively known as the Central Park Five.
