Doing a little bit of cheerleading for the home crowd, Senator Chuck Schumer heaped a ton of praise on City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, who is expected to run for mayor next year.
Speaking at the Empire State Pride Agenda's annual Fall Dinner in Manhattan, Schumer said:
"Whether it's the West Side of Manhattan, [which] she comes from, or Staten Island, in working-class precincts, Christine Quinn is an amazing leader. She's done a great job in the Council and the best for her is yet to come."
