Chelsea Clinton and most of the New York political firmament honor Ward and Schneiderman

Yesterday, Chelsea Clinton took another step to her raise her profile, stoking speculation that she'll follow her parents into the political arena.
After I posted a photograph of Clinton speaking at the event, Ben Smith at Buzzfeed retweeted the image and said, simply, "Running…"
The event was organized by The Yitzhak Rabin Center, an Israeli institute named for the slain prime minister whose goal was "to shape an Israeli society and leadership dedicated to open dialogue, democratic values, Zionism and social cohesion."
The two honorees at their event last night was the Hotel Trades Council president Peter Ward, one of the most powerful labor leaders in New York City, and New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (who won his 2010 statewide primary with the help of Ward's union).
About 400 people attended the event, including three presumed mayoral candidates: City Comptroller John Liu, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, Public Advocate Bill de Blasio and Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer. Other notable politicos at the event were Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick and soon-to-be congressman Hakeem Jeffries of Brooklyn.
A long list of political heavyweights, including Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand and Mayor Michael Bloomberg, heaped praise on Ward and Schneiderman.
So did former president Bill Clinton, who did not attend the event but passed along high praise for both honorees. According to an attendee conveying a statement from the former president, Clinton believes Schneiderman has "demonstrated remarkable tenacity and skill as negotiators and advocates for ordinary Americans. Eric has fought tirelessly throughout his career as New York State Senator and attorney general to represent his fellow citizens and protect them from fraud."
Well, she is horrid, absolutely HORRID on television and as a pseudo "reporter". All she lacks is a personality, pleasant cadence and elocution of speaking voice (what she has is a horrendous, masculine, grating low vocal that actually makes me shudder when I hear it) a pretty face (sorry, all her parents' money and all the work on earth wil NOT make her pretty,, she had and has a very horsey face and extrremely harsh features that match her voice.) talent, charisma and more charisma. But she needed to "raise her profile" BOOM, just like that, and get a job, FINALLY, after 14 years at 3 top notch universities. She is highly intelligent, no doubt. However, she is simply not appealing, either to view or to listen to. I think this woman ought to take a step back outside of herself and truly ask herself, 'Am I appealing to the public, or am I just drifting and trying hard to carry on th Clinton name?" Sadly, she will NEVER have her father's je ne sais quoi nor will she EVER hope to carry her mother's convictions and public strength/ Rather, she comes across as a not very attractive young woman who has thrust herself poof, JUST LIKE THAT, everywhere we turn, trying desperately to make her way in this large world we live in. Stick with academic, honey.
