The issue of whether or not Lopez is actually guilty of Sexual Harassment is of little interest to me.
We all know that in any state work situation, if the woman complains, she is basically screwed. I'm not clear on how far any investigation or claim, if any, went either. What I do know is that Thomas DiNapoli's history of payoffs is a long one. Just from my personal knowledge the the NYS Retirement System has always had "Handle as Special," retirement pensions, and they pay for witnesses testimony, and they collude and cover up bribes and payoffs. The fact that Shelly asked his boy Tommy DiNapoli for $103,00 in hush money is not shocking. What is shocking is that Mr. DiNapoli has not been put out of office by Cuomo, or that a panel has not been put in place to monitor DiNapoli's activities. It appears Tom is unfit to handle our money. Cuomo should initiate an executive order and put a panel in place immediately at OSC. The Feds should have been in OSC a while ago. Silver will not resign as he is saving that bargaining chip for when he takes a plea.
