Woody Johnson does a halftime dance for Team Romney's fund-raising

At a breakfast fund-raiser in New York this morning, some of Mitt Romney's most generous supporters congratulated the campaign (and themselves) for getting halfway to an $800 million fund-raising goal reportedly set by the campaign in the spring.
"We’re about halfway through our fund-raising, and so if you feel tired now, you gotta go take a couple vitamins because we’re gonna really have a strong push to the finish line," said Jets owner Woody Johnson, according to pool reports. "It’s a little bit like chopping wood. You look over at your pile and you can actually see how it looks.”
Romney was set to raise $1.5 million at the breakfast fund-raiser at 583 Park Avenue, where supporters paid $2,500 to hear Romney speak, or $10,000 for a photograph.
It was part of a two-day swing through New York and New Jersey, with the campaign expected to collect more than $5 million.
Romney recently crossed the $400 million mark for total contributions.
"The governor is out-raising a sitting president of the United States," Emil Henry, a former Treasury Department official and local Romney fund-raiser, told the crowd this morning.
Romney offered his usual criticism of Obama's stewardship of the economic recovery, and promised the crowd that America under Romney wouldn't suffer a prolonged crisis.
"We are not Japan," he said.
