Crowley arriving late, but getting noticed
Here's footage from a debate in Queens last night, showing Councilwoman Liz Crowley arriving well after it started.
(Chris Bragg posted it already, and takes the fact that the footage is being distributed as a sign that she's "performing better than expected.")
She's gotten some notable union endorsements, including the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, Communication Workers of America Local 1101, and the electrical workers union Local 3, which has a lot of members in the district.
There was a lot of skepticism about her campaign initially, particularly since her own cousin isn't backing her. (Related, one theory was that it was a plot to siphon away white voters from another candidate, to benefit the candidate her cousin is supporting.)
