'Super Jewish' candidate in Brooklyn seeks a lift from Romney
There aren't many places in New York City where the winning strategy includes painting your opponent as a Democrat. Welcome to the "super Jewish" State Senate district in Brookyln.
Michael Fragin, an aide to Republican candidate Nacham Caller, sent this photo showing Caller voting for Mitt Romney yesterday. Fragin also reminded me that the Democrat in this race, former Democratic councilman Simcha Felder, voted for Barack Obama during the 2008 Democratic primary.
Felder has declined to commit to supporting a Democrat as the majority leader of the Senate. Which, naturally, hasn't stopped Orthodox Jewish Democrats like Assemblyman Dov Hikind and Councilman David Greenfield from endorsing him.
