Councilman and State Senate candidate Lew Fidler took time during his premature victory last night to lament Borough President Marty Markowitz's decision not to run for Congress.

Yesterday morning, Crain's reported that the term-limited borough president was considering a primary challenge to Representative Yvette Clarke.

Last night, Filder said, "I wish Marty Markowitz was here. I know he decided not to run for Congress."

But, he said, "If Marty wants to go, I'm with him."
