After Senator Chuck Schumer endorsed Lew Fidler for State Senate in Brooklyn on Friday, they walked around the corner for a photo-op.

At one point they discussed Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz. Schumer talked about getting the Times to endorse Markowitz, and about trying to convince Markowitz not to let negative coverage bother him as much as it apparently does.

Later, Schumer said, of the press, "They're always negative. Right, press? Right Azi?"
