Dov Hikind, anti-Obama Democrat, is ready to take his indignation on the road
Assemblyman Dov Hikind, a Democrat from Brooklyn, told me he'd be willing to campaign across the country against President Obama. Talking to me outside last night's G.O.P. dinner at the Sheraton, Hikind also said Obama reminds him of Jimmy Carter.
"I don't mean in term of looks, but just in terms of being very weak," Hikind said.
In an aside, Hikind also said he thought he deserved some kind of award from the New York Times for being independent-minded enough to cross the aisle and support candidates in the Republican Party. (Hikind has been doing this for a long time, and has in the past flirted with actually becoming a Republican.)
"I predict that I will not get it," he added.
